Get Voxara
The Windows app, a portable zip, or the browser version. All free.
Windows
The installer works on Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. It installs for your user only, no administrator prompt, and puts Voxara in the Start menu and on the desktop. The app checks for updates on its own and applies them on the next start, so you install once.
Prefer no installer? The portable zip unpacks to a folder you can run from anywhere and delete to uninstall.
A warning from Windows or your browser
Voxara is new and not yet signed with a code-signing certificate, so Windows SmartScreen and some browsers show a warning the first time. That warning is about reputation, not about anything in the file. You can verify what you downloaded: the release manifest lists the SHA-256 checksum of the current installer, and the app that runs on your computer is open source. Signed builds are planned.
Everywhere else
The browser version at voxaraspace.com/app is the same app: spaces, messages, calls and screen sharing, on macOS, Linux, ChromeOS or a phone. A dedicated phone app is not available yet.
What you need
An account, which takes a minute to create in the app, and an internet connection. Voice and video work best on a wired or good wireless connection; calls are peer to peer, so there is nothing to configure on your side.
Beta access
Until launch on 27 September, sign-up is open to beta testers. Ask for a spot; testers get a permanent profile badge and a direct line to the people building the app.
