Everything in Voxara, in one page

What the app does today, feature by feature, with the limits stated where they exist.

Spaces and channels

A space is your group's home. Inside it you make text channels for chat, voice channels for talking, and forum channels for posts that can be tagged and searched. Channels sit in categories, and each channel or category can have its own permission overrides, so a rules channel is read-only and a staff channel is invisible to everyone else.

Voice that just works

Join a voice channel with one click; click another one to move. Push to talk or open mic with adjustable sensitivity, noise suppression, echo cancellation, per-person volume, and a speaking ring that lights only when someone actually talks. Calls go peer to peer, encrypted, and never through our server.

Screen sharing with game audio

Share a window or your whole screen at up to 1080p and 60 frames per second, tuned for sharp text. On Windows you can include what your computer is playing, so people watching your game hear it too. Viewers choose whether to watch, and a LIVE tag shows who is sharing.

An overlay for games

A small corner overlay shows who is in the call and who is talking while you play, in windowed or borderless games. Choose the corner, or show it only while a game is running.

Forums

Forum channels turn long conversations into posts with titles and tags. Filter by tag, search posts, lock or archive them, and let moderators keep the tag list tidy.

Direct messages and friends

Add friends by username, group them however you like, and see what they are playing. Direct messages support replies, reactions, edits, pins, forwarding, polls, files, GIFs and custom emoji, with read receipts so you know when a message was seen.

Invite links

Every space has a link like voxaraspace.com/invite/CODE. Pasted anywhere in Voxara it becomes a card with the space's name, member count and a Join button. From the invite dialog you can send it to a friend with one click.

Moderation that stays calm

Roles with per-channel permissions, a word filter, slow mode, timeouts, kicks and bans, raid lockdown, verification levels, reports that go to the space's own moderators, and an audit log of who did what. Moderators are exempt from slow mode.

Bots and webhooks

A JavaScript SDK, slash commands, rich embeds and one-line webhooks, with ready-made templates for GitHub, GitLab and uptime monitors. Bots carry a visible mark and declare what they do. The documentation covers everything, in any language that can open a WebSocket.

Steam, if you want it

Link your Steam account to show what you are playing, collect game cards, and get a nudge when something on your wishlist goes on sale. It is optional, it is clearly labelled, and it can be unlinked at any time.

Security and privacy

Two-factor authentication with backup codes, alerts when your account signs in from a new place, encrypted storage on the server, and a "sign out of other devices" button. No ads, no data sales. The desktop app is open source, so what leaves your computer can be checked rather than believed. The honest limit: messages are not end-to-end encrypted, and the privacy policy says so.

Windows and the browser

A Windows app that keeps itself up to date, and the same app in a browser at voxaraspace.com/app for everywhere else, including a phone. Themes, density and font size are yours to set.
