How to create a space in Voxara
Your group's home, in about a minute.
1. Create it
Open the Spaces tab in the sidebar and press the + button at the top. Give the space a name and pick a colour for its icon; both can be changed later in Space settings, where you can also upload a picture and a banner. Press Create space. You are the owner.
2. Look at what you got
A new space starts with a #general text channel and a category to put things in. Everyone who joins can read and post there. The right-hand panel lists members; you are the only one for now.
3. Add channels
Right-click the space name at the top of the sidebar, or open its menu, and choose New channel. Pick a type: text for chat, voice for talking, forum for posts with tags. See the channels guide for what each is good at.
4. Set up roles, if you need them
Space settings, Roles. A role is a named bundle of permissions you give to members: for example a Moderator role that can delete messages and time people out. You do not need any roles for a group of friends; the defaults let everyone talk and stop everyone from moderating. The roles guide explains the details.
5. Invite people
Open the space menu and choose Invite people. Copy the link, or press Send next to a friend to send it to them directly. Anyone who opens the link sees the space's name and member count and joins with one click. The invite guide has more, including how to reset the link.
